Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Michigan

Creditors contacting my Ex-husband with my information

I have been divorced for 3 years and still have one joint credit card with my ex. I am in the process of filing for bankruptcy so I have ceased making payments on that account, as well as two others. One of my other creditors, NOT the joint card, contacted my ex-husband and discussed details regarding my accounts. My ex has been calling me and harassing me about me not paying my bills, etc. and says that he negotiated a ''pay off'' deal with the creditor.

Is it legal for the creditor to be discussing my personal information with my ex?

Thanks

No, not if you are divorced. If you were still married, it would be okay. If you would like to discuss suing the creditor, call me at (248) 679-1552.
