Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan

Concerning possible idenity theft and fraud...

I have a previous criminal record. I actually was released from parole 9 months ago, but was released within 12 months for meeting all my conditions, having no violations etc. I have seriously cleaned up my act and have been doing exceedingly well - going to school, working, raising my three small children, am engaged, etc....

I believe that due to my history, I have made myself an easy target, and of course, have no creditability. Which, unfortunately, I have to understand and accept.

However, I have NOT committed this crime. No charges have been filed, although, I do feel partially responsible, as I was not cautious with my and others personal information. I know that due to the nature of the situation, and investgation to exonerate me will be minimal, especially with a record.

I would certainly appreciate anyone who could help before this all blows up in my face!

I realize without knowing the details it is hard to give/get advice, but would be willing to call or come in to talk to someone who has experience in these areas.
