Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

Can I get copies of all court records that pertain to me?

I need to get true and correct copies of all court records that pertain to me in reference to my divorce, child custody, child custody changes, termination of parental rights and petition for adoption of my kids. How can do I go about doing this? This all happened between 1989 - 1999 in Michigan. I now live in TN. I was sent a copy of a petition for adoption between my ex and his new wife in 1999... never received anything after that. Unable to contact my kids or ex. Any help would be great! Thanks

Re: Can I get copies of all court records that pertain to me?

Court records are public records, other than any limited Friend of the Court records, and can be obtained from the court where the proceedings were held. They are available from the court directly in person for a copy fee. Whether or not a court would be able to mail or fax them to you depends on the court, and you should contact the court records department for assistance.
