Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

support

ex husband and i entered a judgement he is financially resposibile for child in his care, I am responsible for child in my care... My daughter, age 17 left home, she is considered a legal adult, nothing i can do to get her home... I support her,even though she does not live with me, insurance,school clothes, food etc... now ex wants to re-nig and get me to pay support for our son living with him.he refused to let me have my weekend with him, because i would not pay for his gas,which i do not have to, also he started this because he is finacially supporting him and wants me to pay half of his school field trip... which i will not do... its toatled 405.00.. his responsibility. do i have a leg to stand on when i go to court?

Re: support

Support and visitation are two totally separate issues. Drag your ex into court to enforce visitation. He may make a motion to modify support based on changed circumstances. You would then argue that the support circumstances have not changed as you still support your daughter. As far as a result, depends upon how the facts shake out and your judge.
