Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

visitation during investigations

My son's father is under investigaion for sexual abuse of his minor daughter. One county Cps says not to allow visitation, his dad says they have no juristdistion because I live in a different county, and that I have no court order from my county Friend of Court, so I have to let him have visitation anyway. WHat is the law?

Re: visitation during investigations

The law is that you must comply with the court's orders. The court will likely change the visitation order if CPS requests a temporary change while they investigate.
