Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Michigan

Hi. I sued my attorney for abandoning my Probate court case and cashing a check meant to close out the case and keeping the funds and won a total of about $2300.00 because she did not show up. She filed an Appeal; however, the judge denied it because once again won because she did not show up. The judge told me to file another case for sanction fees when I asked him, so I did. When I appeared for the Sanction fees case, he however went back and retried the whole case only gave me $600.00 . My question is: Is it legal for a judge for a judge to retry a case where the previous appeal had been denied? What was I being sanctioned for if he took back my first award? The attorney I sued also provided no proof, but I had documented proof of all my allegations, including a copy of the check that she cashed meant to close out the case, for which she never applied to my case.

I don't know what happened here. It sounds very wrong. I think another attorney would have to look at all your pleadings to see what happened here. Tim Klisz kliszlaw.com
