wrongful termination DPS

can you be terminated from a job, accused of violating work rules, when you are not at work near work, or during work hours or on work grounds?

Assuming you are not a union member, you may be terminated for any reason. The reason may be wrong and your employer may be completely mistaken about the "facts" resulting in your discharge.

However, if you have reason to believe that you were terminated because of your sex, age, race,national origin,religion,or handicap, the reasons given for your discharge may be grounds for a claim of unlawful discrimination.
