Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Michigan

Domestic partners owning a home together

Do I have any recourse in getting equity out of a home that I purchased with a former significant other. Went our separate ways and she gave me only my down payment back, no equity that had been built in the home in the five years that we were there together.

Both our names were on the deed
