Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Michigan

Land Contract

We purchased a house under a land contract last October. We would like to terminate this contact because everything is going wrong with this house. We did buy it as is. But we didn't know there was previous water problems in the basement, termites, no heat vent upstairs and very low water pressure. They are very costly and we feel we have the house from hell. What can we do?

Re: Land Contract

Your options should be clearly stated in the Land Contract itself, and you should have a copy of this. If there are no provisions for terminating the Land Contract, you should talk to an attorney to find out how you could best proceed.

Re: Land Contract

You're going to need to consult an attorney and have them review the contract so that they can tell you what options you have.
