does a affidavit of trust have to be recorded with the register of deeds to sale trust property

The title company closing the transaction will let you know what needs to be recorded/provided. Generally no it does not need to be recorded, but it may need to be provided to the buyer and title company so they know who is authorized to act on behalf of the trust.
