Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Minnesota

Funeral costs. My mother passed away last week. I am one of four siblings. I am the only sibling who has the ability to pay for the funeral and other costs associated with our mothers' death. The other siblings have agreed to pay for their share of the costs but I'd like to make it a legal obligation for them. I'd like to give each of them 6 months to pay using monthly payments. I'd like to have them all sign an agreement immediately but there may be other costs that arise before all is said and done. What type of form or agreement should I use?

There is no such "form" agreement that I am aware of.

Depending on the amount involved and assuming that other siblings are willing to sign, it may be wise for you to engage a business/contract attorney such as myself to draft the agreement, to ensure that they are properly bound thereby.

Call or email for a consultation.
