SIgning over Parental Rights & Child Support

If my son's father signs over his Parental Rights would he still have to pay child support? No one would be adopting the child.

Re: SIgning over Parental Rights & Child Support

It is not so simple. In order for a court to terminate a parent's rights, it must find that the termination is in the best interests of the child. In most cases, the court would decline to terminate rights unless the parent was a clear danger to the child.
