Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Minnesota

I have lived in a rental home for the last 13 months without a lease. I have found another place to live but my current landlord is insisting that I pay for the next two month rent. Am I legally bound to do this if I have no contract?

Hello. I would need to know further details of your situation to respond appropriately. A lease may be defined as an agreement between two parties for one to use the property of the other. You say there was never a lease. Perhaps you mean instead that there never was a written contract, but that it was oral.
