I am presently drawing unemployment benefits in Mississippi. Can I also appeal a disability claim I have and also draw until my claim is settled?

Re: disability claim in Mississippi

You can,but the usual ALJ reaction is to deny your disability claim, because you must sign an affidavit weekly, to get your unemployment check, that says you are able to work. This conflicts with you telling SSA that you are disabled to work at the same time.If the Judge does award you ,he or she will award you with a new onset date after the unemployment stops, which costs most people a lot more than they got from unemployment for the same time.
