Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Mississippi

My grandmother passed away in 2000. In her will she left a tractor for use by the family. It didn’t run. My father recently died and left no mention of the tractor. I took the tractor to a shop and had it repaired, painted, and 4 new tires mounted. I also have the bill of sale. No title.

Is this now my tractor? No one has driven it in over ten years except me.

Technically, no, it's not your property because your grandmother left the tractor to the family. I don't know who she meant by "family." Maybe you can get everyone in "the family" to sign a paper and each of them give their share of the tractor to you.

Good luck.
