Re: child custody

It depends upon how long you have been in the county, etc. Sometimes a case can be filed properly in more than 1 county. So I do not not have enough information to give you an answer to thsi question. You can contact my office to discuss this in greater detail.

Re: child custody

First of all, I am not at all sure what you mean by a "child visitation, custody order" being filed. Do you mean a Petition for Determination of Paternity or do you mean a Motion to Modify an existing Order? As has been previously stated, in certain cases it is possible for a legal action to be filed properly in more than one jurisdiction. If you could provide more information, an attorney could provide more specific information in response. If you do not have an attorney and you are in the Eastern half of the state, you may call me at the office for a free consultation.
