Sending Emails

Is it against the law to send a person an email that is non-threatening. The emails were sent to a specific persons email address. Someone other than the emails were addressed to resonded to the emails and are now threatening to have me charged with harrassment.Is it against the law to send someone a reply by email that has harrassed you by phone several times?

The smartest thing you can do is take no further action. If you continue to respond, that might be viewed as harassment. Instead, most ISPs have a way to block an email address. I would block the email address and not worry about it any further.

If you receive telephone calls, you can get a service from the phone company to block the telephone calls. I would do that too.

When you get into one of these situations where someone is claiming harassment, the best and smartest thing to do is nothing further.
