Legal Question in Consumer Law in Missouri

Is it true that a contract that was filled out on line is binding? We did not sign the contract they sent to us (to be signed in front of a notary), and now they are telling us that it doesn't matter that the "internet" copy is binding and they won't refund our money.

It is possible to "sign" a contract online. The issue to be determined in court is whether there was meeting of the minds as to a contract, and some sort of mark or signature to indicate assent by the party to be held to the terms of the contract. Yours is a very fact specific issue. Too many facts are needed to give you specific advice here. perhaps you could meet in person with an atttorney in your area. You could print the documents for them and they could ask you follow-up questions. Many attorneys offer a free or low cost initial consultation.

Good luck
