Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

My daughter and soon to be fiancee are looking to buy a home together. Both parties will be on the loan/title. My duahgter is making a sizeable downpayment. He is not putting anything down but assisting in loan re-payments and other expenses. I feel she need some sort on protection assuring her right to get her downpayment back in they were to sell prior to getting married. Does she need legal protection goin g into the arrangement Y/N? What type of legal vehicle should we pursue with a local attorney?

They may want to consider a pre marital agreement. Since I do not have all of the facts, they each should contact attorneys well in advance of their marriage to do this.
