Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

i was married in jan of 2001. my husband went to prison in July 2001. He is still there. I have filed for divorce once and couldnt pay. Is there some loophole or cheap way to end this meaningless marriage?

You have stayed married for nine years because you "couldn't" pay for a dissolution? It is hard to believe that in all of that time you could not set aside or come up with enough money to obtain a dissolution of marriage. Approximately $25 per month for a lot less than nine years would cover a standard retainer fee and court costs. It seems likely that you have chosen to use whatever money you have had on something else, which you have every right to do. You can still represent yourself in court and handle the dissolution of marriage "pro se". Good luck.
