Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Missouri

I bought a car from a buy here pay here lot. When I went to title the car there was another lean on the car. I went back to the lot and they said they would take care of it. That was two weeks ago and now I am driving a car with no tags. What can I legally do? I don't even want the car now.

You or your attorney should immediately write a letter to the car lot, addressing that you have been waiting two weeks for a clear title, and that the lot has failed to provide one. Send the letter via certified mail, return reciept requested. Once you know they have the letter, and another two weeks have elapsed with no title, then you may want to return the car to the lot with a cancellation of yoru loan and return of all your payments. if you are unsuccessful here, then you may need to sue to quiet the title to the vehicle. You will have to name the car lot and the other lien holder.

Good luck
