Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Missouri

I requested an Order of Protection aganist someone.

I went to court. He didn't show! I can't risk taking OFF WORK

Due to him NOT showing up for court. And after the 5th

Time I was told they'll just throw it out! I'm considering

NOT showing up for the next court date, due to my JOB

I have to secure. What happens if I don't show up??

If you requested an Order of protection and that person was served, but did nto appear, you woudl usually get yrou Order by default. If the other person was not served, then they have no duty to appear, and cannot be punished for not appearing. Look to see if the person was served, If they were, then request that the judge issue th eordr by default if they don't show next time.

Good luck
