Legal Question in Employment Law in Missouri

I worked at a Missouri company until early July. On Wed, July 7th, I gave a 2 week notice of resignation to be effective Wed, July 21st. On July 9th, my boss said they appreciated my two week notice but felt it was better if my last day was that day, July 9th. I confirmed with my boss that they would be paying me through the 21st.

Even though the employer said it would be best that my last day was that last day (July 9th), is the company required by Missouri state or Federal law to pay me?
