Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Missouri

My brother maliciously filed for an ex parte order which was subsequently terminated. I literally was blindsided by it and had approx. 10 minutes to pack my belongings and leave. my mother, the legal owner of the house, was in a rest home. The Petitioner checked the 5th box on Residency (7) instead of the 1st box. I had to leave immediately. What are my recourses for this?

Based upon the facts you described, you may have a case for malicious prosecution, or another tort. You should gather the relevant documents and consult directly with a civil practice attorney in your area. You need to have a personal claim evaluate based upon more facts that you were able to provide here. And, you need to have it done soon. There are time limits to bringing claims.
