Grandfather's Will

Does a person named in a will have to be informed that he has indeed been left property? My grandfather died about 2 years ago, and I want to know if I was named as a beneficiary. How can I get a copy of the will?

Re: Grandfather's Will

If the will has been probated, then it would be a public record. You can obtain a copy from the probate court in your county. If the will has not been probated, but you know who has posession of it, then you can make an application to have the will delivered to the court clerk.
