Legal Question in Family Law in Nevada

Adoption

I gave my daughter up for adoption in february of this year. i have changed my mind about the adoption. i feel like i was forced into the adoption by the case worker and that when it came time to sign the papers she acted like i didnt have any other option but to sign it. i have recently learned that the adoption agency i went through is shutting down its las vegas office. which prompted me to check with the bbb. according to the bbb they can not find a valid buisness liscence for them here. is there anyway i can have the adoption overturned

Re: Adoption

Thank you for your inquiry.

Typically to get an adoption overturned you are going to need to show fraud or undue influence by the other party in getting you to agree to it.

It would be difficult for me to properly advise you without more details in your case. I will say that overturning an adoption is a difficult task to accomplish.

Re: Adoption

Usually no. You may be looking at $5000 in attorney's fees to start to try to get it set aside.
