how is child support determined when the parents share custody of there children

The percentage is applied to both parents and the difference is paid by the higher earning spouse to the lower earning spounse. Ex. 2 children 25% is the standard. Dad makes $4,000 a mo. Mom makes $3,000 a mo. Dad pay mom $1,000 and Mom pays dad $750. Result: Dad pays mom $250.
