Legal Question in Family Law in Nevada

where to file joint custody

I live in a small town that is half Utah and half Nevada. I live in Nevada but work in Utah but the mother of my child lives in Utah and works in Nevada. Where would be the best place to file for joint custody? There is no child support or any visitation as of right now.

Re: where to file joint custody

Is the house or apartment that you live in on the Utah side or the Nevada side. It is where you live that decides, not the town. Under the law, you cannot choose where to file, it is based upon the state that you live.
