Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Nevada

No Lease ever signed

I moved into a friends house and then had financial issues. I lived there for 2 months but never gave them any money. However I never signed a Lease Agreement. They did email me a copy of one so that I could enroll my child in school. I was told their Atty. was getting it ready for me to sign in a week. I never seen it or signed anything. Now I've moved out after getting a eviction notice and not being able to find the money. They tell me they are going to sue me and have my wages garnished. Can this be done with no signed lease agreement?

Re: No Lease ever signed

A signed lease is not required to create a rental agreement. If you agreed to pay a certain monthly rent, you could be held responsible for that.
