Legal Question in Personal Injury in Nevada

average settlement amount

I was rear ended by a commercial vehicle on my way to work in 5/05. I have $50K in medical bills, $10K in lost wages, $33.7K in lost retirement income (based on hours lost at work). I have 3 bulging disc at C-4,5,6 with no positive prognosis. Surgical faccets and ryoscopy. I was in a depo yesterday and my att wanted to put in a demand for $130K. I thought he was insulting me but he said that that was the standard for this type of injury. I do the math the att at 40%= 52K and 50K in medical I walk away with a neck that is screwed up for the rest of my life and 28K IS THAT RIGHT?

Re: average settlement amount

There is no average settlement amount; there are many factors, such as amount of property damage, insurance policy limits, quality of witnesses, what the medical records show. It may be a great offer, it may be terrible.
