Re: ex-parte

This is not the common approach to most legal problems. An ex parte order means that no notice is given to the other side. Generally it is issued by the court in a life threatenting situation or in a situation where advance notice would provide the other party with an opportunity to perform some major inappropriate act. You must petition the court in great detail as to the reason for such a request. The rules of court must be followed closely. Except for a domestic violence restraining order, it is advisable to seek the assistance of an attorney in dealing with ex parte matters.
