Validity of an online postnuptial Agreement

Im interested in purchasing the postnuptial agreement from lawguru.com. How valid and iron clad is this post nuptial? Is it any less valid then one done by a local lawyer?

Re: Validity of an online postnuptial Agreement

If you are looking for something that is tailored to your specific needs and particular assets and family situation, you wold want to consult with an attorney and have them prepare it. Antenuptial agreements are evaluated by the courts at the time of a divorce and must be determined to have been fair and adequate at the time entered into AND at the time of the divorce; mere recitation of cookie cutter language will not, in and of itself, be sufficient. I recommend you consult with a family law practitioner before assuming that an online form will be valid.
