Legal Question in Business Law in New Jersey

Operating license

I own a Paintless Dent repair company. the work is all mobile. There are no chemicals or paints of any kind. I do all the work at customers location.

Lately the State has told some customers. (auto dealers) that they may not use mobile vendors. Everything I can find about getting a license state that you must have a repair facility. How do I aquire the right documents to continue to work.

Re: Operating license

I am not aware of a law banning mobile vendors. If your business is set-up right (such as a Limited Liability Company) and you are registered with the Division of Taxation, there should not be a problem.

You should have your business lawyer talk to a friendly dealer and get the facts. Then, your lawyer can organize your business to solve the problem.

I hope this helps!
