Physical abuse in the workplace

the president of the company I work for hit me about 10 times on the top of my head. There was oine 1 person in the room also who said he was shocked. What is my legal recourse?

You may have recourse against your boss. We should schedule a time to talk to both you and your co-worker who witnessed the event. What you need to do first is to complain IN WRITING to human resources, and KEEP A COPY of whatever you write to them (like an e-mail that you print a copy out of--don't just save it on the computer either).

Quit, stay, file criminal charges, file civil lawsuit. Now, if you're serious about doing something, I'd suggest you promptly hire counsel to bring civil claims, starting with a threat of suit and offer to settle that includes you getting a severance package to leave the company. You said nothing about being injured, other than your ego, so your damages are for that, and the principle of the wrong. Feel free to contact me if serious about doing so.
