same sex partner adoption in NJ

we are two women. I'm a US citizen, my partner only has a social security card, and work authorization card, she is not a citizen but her visa is in process. But can she still adopt a child with me?

this is a little unusual, and I do not know the short simple answer to your question. I would have to research it a bit. It would not seem that there is any particular reason why your partner's lack of citizenship should disqualify her. Same sex adoption, of course, is permitted in NJ.
