Legal Question in Employment Law in New Jersey

I am employeed by a mid size company as a supervisor. As a supervisor I began to get harrassed sexually and threaths of harrassing my family. I went to hr and the matter was investigated. After which, a couple of my subordinates made claims that I made off color jokes about race and sexual induendos. A week later I was written up for this. I went on with my buisness hoping the matter would go away from all the embarrassment. 2 weeks later one of the subordinates was fired for a policy violation, but not by me but by people 2 levels above me. She along with another subordinate keep threathening that they will sue me or go to my house. I know coming to my house would be harrassment in which I could file a complaint against. However, what if they sue me? They have callaborated a story that is false and now I am stuck. Please help.

The proper defendant in a work related case is the employer. There are, however, a limited exception that but your facts do not clearly point that exception. Nonetheless, the real party in interest for such law suits would be the employer. There is, however, the issue of you being disciplined for filing a complaint of workplace harassment that may give rise to a claim. I believe that you should consult with an attorney ASAP.
