Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in New Jersey

landlord/tenant

I recently purchase a house where the tenants were involved in a divorce. The title was in the husband's parents name. The wife had one week to come up with rent/security or vacate by following week (March 13). She is still there. What recourse do I have?

If you have not received rent, then you may file an action for eviction.

Do you mean the LEASE was in the husband's parents name? It would also be a good idea to make sure that the people who intend to live there are actually the ones who sign the lease.
