Statute of Limitations
I was assaulted 3 years ago by my ex (he was convicted and the Restraining Order is still in effect). I am interested in filing a Personal Injury Suit but am wondering if the Statute if Limitations has passed.

Re: Statute of Limitations The statute of limitations for personal injuries in New Jersey is two years from the date of the injury. This may be extended in some cases (such as medical malpractice), but that does not appear to be your situation. In any case, you should keep in mind that this advice is based purely on the little bit of information that you have given to me. There may be other factors that would change my opinion.
