Real Estate Residential Deed

I would like to change the ownership of my residence from my name only to my husband's and my name. What forms do I need?

Re: Real Estate Residential Deed

You need to have a new Deed prepared and then filed with the County. Any attorney can do that with a copy of your current Deed. Our office charges $300 plus the filing fee to do this. If you mention lawguru, the fee would be $250 plus the filing fee. Just a fax of the deed and your husband's name would be sufficient. Then you would have to sign the Deed in front of a notary before it can be recorded. That can either be in my office, or you could take the Deed to a notary near where you live. If I can help, please call me.

Re: Real Estate Residential Deed

You just need a deed, plus two other forms that have to be filed with it. The cost to have an attorney do this will be a couple of hundred dollars, and it is easy to do.

Call me if you would like me to assist. I am right across the street from the Courthouse in Hackensack.
