two residences in two states

I own a house and have 2 cars

registered in new york state

I am buying a place in new jersey

as a second residence.

do i have to register my cars in new jersey?

can i sign the cars over to my spouse and have her buy the place in new jersey? what are the laws?

You can own a second home and not re-register your cars unless this is your new primary residence.
