Legal Question in Workers Comp in New Jersey

Claim unpaid by employer

My girlfriend works for an ice cream shop in New Jersey. One night she had to go to a hospital because of dizziness and nausea due to an exposure to chemical vapor of cleaning supplies in the shop. She had filed for workers comp for the medical bill, yet the bill remains unpaid for 75 days now. I get the feeling that they do not carry workers comp coverage. It is to my understanding, however, that Workers Comp is a statutory coverage in New Jersey. Can this claim be brought to court?

Re: Claim unpaid by employer

By law every emplorer MUSt have comp coverage and it is a criminal offense not to carry it. There are very specific procedures for toxic exposure cases, therefore I stronlgy suggest you contact an attorney ASAP to discuss this matter.
