Re: refuse treatment

You may always refuse treatment. However, as with all decisions, there may be ramifications in your decisions. If the carrier determines through their doctors that this would have helped then they can discharge you from treatment. Once treatment is stopped, they can stop the temporary disability payments and you msut either return to work or risk being terminated.

We represent people through out the state of NJ and would be happy to discuss your rights further and strategies. We do not charge except upon recovery and usaually most fees are paid by the carrier. Please give us a call at 800-34-NJ-LAW

Re: refuse treatment

Of course you don't HAVE to accept their treatment, but from a workers compensation law standpoint this could give the insurance company grounds for cutting off your temporary disability payments (if you are currently receiving them) and possibly give them an argument later on for not offering a settlement on your case. You should hire an attorney to help you deal with the insurance company on your claim. Under workers compensation law an attorney cannot bill you for his work until he gets a settlement on your case. I am an attorney who has handled many cases similar to yours in various workers compensation courts throughout New Jersey in the past. I wold like to discuss your case with you in more detail. Please contact me about this. I never charge for simply talking to a person about their case. Thank you.

Sincerely yours, -Ronald Aronds, Esq.
