Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in New York

My ex girlfriend is threatening to sue me for money she gave me. I was given money begining of last year to fix my car. It was cash and no loans were ever talked about or expressed. We broke up last November and now Iam getting threatening text messages I will be sued cause she thought I was going to be her husband and would have never gave it if she thought otherwise.

Her own text message may hurt her case even if she sues you. Based on the text message, it is clear she gave you the money as a gift. Therefore, you can argue, that she cannot no turn a gift into a loan.

Remember, anyone can sue. So, just because she sues you doesn't mean she will be successful. Just keep her text regarding her admission and any other texts she may send you regarding her gift.
