Liability Question
my wife and I were hit head on by a drunk driver. He in turnout as an illegal , no insurance, etc. NYS Troopers jailed him and the INS is going to deport him. Could his employer,landlord, be liable for the damages as they had to be aware of his status?

You may have a claim even if there is no insurance because there is a state agency that you can sue which stands in the shoes of the driver. I don't see a case against the employer. You could also have a DRAM Shop claim against whoever served him the alcohol depending on the facts. Most importantly, you may have coverage under your own auto insurance policy.
