Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Requesting a emergency hearing

I went to court on 8/12/03. At that time a family court judge entered a temporary visitation arraingment. I was supposed to have an emergency number as well as a pick up point, on the first visit I was harrased, refused entry to the property for pick up, and told not to call the contact number or I would be charged with harrasment. I was given a beeper number that is never answered. I tried to call as the child has food allergies and came home ill. No response. I wrote the judge on the case and asked for a hearing as soon as possible to avoid further such confict. Will the judge hear this, or do I have to file something else? I am in Madison Co. We were both ordered to pick up and provided emergency numbers.

Re: Requesting a emergency hearing

I need to know more details about the order and what actually occurred. The letter to the judge was improper if you did not send a copy to the other side. I might have first sent a letter to the other parent or their attorney demanding compliance. Then, if you encountered further violations on the next pick-up, a violation petition would certainly be appropriate.
