Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Seperation

My Wife Left one week ago found out that she was having an affiar, Left the house moved back in with her parents cleaned out bank accounts and am afraid the next move she will make will take belongs out of the home. What are my Legal rights to changing the locks and forbiding entry when I am not home. The house is in both of our names.

If the house is in joint name, you have no legal right to change locks, absent a court order.

Suggest you file an Order to Show Cause for Temporary Exclusive Occupancy of the marital residence, including a Temporary Restraining Order on her removing any property, etc.
