Is there a law in New York (Long Island) that prohibits a 15 year old male to sleep in the same room as his 10 year old sister? There are enough rooms in the house for them to be separated, but the parents want them to be in the same room.

I am not aware of the laws of New York. I would be very surprised if such a law exists in any State. There are many people living in 1 bedroom apartments with children of both sexes.
