Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New York

property lines

I have a piece of property that is 8 acres on the edge of it is a pond. the hill that is the side of the pond is right by the property line to my neighbor's property . This neighbor just bought his property from a tax forecloserauction to my knowledge he never had a survey done to purchase it ! Least wise I was never notified about it . I am in the process of having a full survey done but if the hill or the base of it is on his property what actions if any could he take or does it simply mean he owns to the base of the pond or the hill for it ? Please help he is really being a jerk and I would love to have peice of mind over this

Re: property lines

I really do not understand your question.

It seems that the survey will verify which individual owns which lot, settling all disputes.
