Legal Question in Immigration Law in New York

Validity of tourist visa due to change of status from B2.

Hi,

I was issued a visit visa i.e a 10 year multiple entry B2 visa, meanwhile i made a trip to the US, and changed to an F1 visa, this was prior 911. I graduated this year and I would like to know if my 10 year multiple entry visit visa that expires May 2008 is still valid ....does changing visa status to a F1 automatically cancel my 10 year multiple entry visit visa.

thanks

regards,

Re: Validity of tourist visa due to change of status from B2.

What is the date on your I-94 when you entered with your B2 visa. The F1 is supposed to change your status when you entered the US and the multiple entry visa is what makes you eligible to enter the US. The 10 year period is for how long you can use it for multiple entries. You are welcome to contact me on (718) 715-0514 to discuss this issue further or any other legal matters.
