Legal Question in Intellectual Property in New York

Can a website in the USA use my name and photo on their site stating that I am a supporter, without my permission. I have asked them to remove it and they state that they do not have to do that

As a franchise attorney I would say if you are no longer a supporter, you have a good case to have your information removed. There are also various privacy issues involved with having your photo displayed on their website that should be investigated. Consult with a good business or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.
